CHESAPEAKE—Toy Edward Allen, 85, died Dec. 5, 2007.

Mr. Allen was born in Southampton County Nov. 11, 1922.

He was a member of Lee Memorial Baptist Church and retired from Yellow Freight Company as a truck driver after 40 years of service.

He was also a retired trustee for Teamsters Retirees Union No. 822.

Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Mary Ann Allen; two daughters, Anna Lee Wilson of Pittsburgh and Brenda Meade of South Carolina; two sons, Toy Allen III of Maryland and Thomas Allen of Florida; a stepson, Richard Thomas of Portsmouth; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles L. Allen of Newport News; two sisters, Ellen Etheridge of Virginia Beach and Ruby Slack of Hollywood, Md.; and his loving neighbors, Nancy and Marvin Jones who will miss him greatly.

A graveside service was to be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Rosewood Memorial Park with Minister Jay McCoy presiding over the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Leukemia Cancer Society.
