CARRSVILLE—The boiled water advisory placed on the Carrsville water system was lifted Thursday, said Isle of Wight County spokesman Don Robertson.

The advisory was put in place Aug. 28 after the system lost pressure due to power outages associated with Hurricane Irene.

Robertson said the advisory to boil cooking and drinking water is a requirement after the pressure drops below a certain level.
