James W. Holt

ZUNI—James Walter Holt, 62, died Nov. 13, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Holt was born in Mabscott, WVa., the son of the late James Wesley and Hazel Chapman Holt.
He was a retired Army veteran of the Vietnam era and was retired from Union Camp with 27 years service as a maintenance millwright.
He was a member of the VFW Post 4411 and American Legion Post 73, and was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Rose Jeffries Holt; two sons, James W. Holt, Jr. and John W. Holt; two sisters Julia Saul and Shirley Whitfield; and one granddaughter, Ashley Alexis Holt.
He was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Monar.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Barrett-Johnson Cemetery, 17539 Black Creek Road, Zuni, with the Rev. Larry Cribb officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin.
