MITCHELLVILLE, Md.—Lawrence R. Fields Sr., formerly of Smithfield, died Oct. 29, 2007.

Mr. Fields is the widower of Ruth Burrell Fields and father of Marcia Fields Milton (Ron) and Lawrence Fields Jr., both of Mitchellville.

Funeral services were held Friday at Little Zion Baptist Church, Smithfield.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield.
