LITTLE TEXAS—A beautiful fall day was the perfect setting for the wedding of Allison Danielle Skinner and Douglas Edward Rice at their new home, the homeplace of the groom’s late grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Partridge in Little Texas (Branchville).

The wedding took place Oct. 12. The couple was accompanied by Skinner’s daughters, Faith Nicole and Angel Lynn Pierce.

The bride is the daughter of Sheldon and Jeanne Skinner of Margarettsville, N.C. and sister of Brittany. She is the granddaughter of Elsie Garriss and the late Douglas Garriss of Margarettsville, the late Paul Skinner of Raleigh, N.C. and the late Ann Skinner of Seaboard, N.C.

The groom is the son of Jerry and Joan Rice of Boykins. He is the grandson of the late John and Carroll Partridge of Little Texas and the late James and Lucille Rice of Emporia.

Following the wedding ceremony was a beef tenderloin dinner on the lawn hosted by the bride and groom. Later in the evening wedding cake was served.

The bride and groom will spend their honeymoon in the mountains of Virginia.
