Angeline V. Howell

EURE, N.C.—Angeline Vann Howell, 71, of the 100 block of White Oak Road, died Oct. 29, 2007, in Down East Health & Rehab, Gatesville.

Mrs. Howell was born in Northampton County and was the daughter of the late Clifton P. and Edith Piland Vann.

Retired after more than 26 years as a bus driver with the Gates County School System, she was a member of Eure Christian Church and the Gates County Rescue Squad.

Survivors include her husband, M. Leon Howell; her daughter, Debra H. Earley; and her granddaughter, Ashley Lauren Earley, all of Eure; her sister, Flora Sebeck of Wilmington, N.C.; two brothers, Archie Vann of Conway, N.C. and Roy Vann of Courtland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

A funeral was held Thursday in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, by the Rev. Wayne Gardner. Burial followed in the Howell Family Cemetery near the home.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the Gates County Rescue Squad or the Eure Volunteer Fire Dept.
