Norfleet T. Grizzard

DREWRYVILLE—Norfleet Thomas Grizzard, 83, died Oct. 7, 2007.
A lifelong resident of Drewryville, he was a son of the late Henry Ezelle and Virgie Norfleet Grizzard.
An Army Air Corps veteran of WWII, Norfleet was retired from the Southampton Correctional Center and was owner of Grizzard Grocery.
Mr. Grizzard was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathleen Riegel Grizzard; two sons, Robert Grizzard and wife Sue of Ivor, Todd Grizzard and wife Peggy of Valentines; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Grizzard of Drewryville; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one sister; one brother; and a special caretaker and friend, Dianne Wyche.
He was predeceased by a son, Lathan Wayne Grizzard.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday at Drewryville Cemetery with the Rev. Edmund Ellis officiating.
