All too familiar

Are we back here again, to where it’s dangerous walking along one of Franklin’s busiest streets?

Sunday night, a gunfight erupted on South Street where it intercepts with Chestnut Street and a young man was shot in the chest. He remains in serious condition in a Norfolk hospital.

For the neighborhood watch programs begun and seminars held, it shows again where anger and guns

are more powerful weapons than concern, preparation and public outcry. Maybe even more powerful than prayers.
