ISLE OF WIGHT—Keith James Swinson, 43, son of Carl Lee “C.L.” Swinson of Portsmouth, died Sept. 23, 2007, in a motorcycle accident in Hoke County, N.C.

Mr. Swinson was a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Faye Saunders Swinson Freeman and daughter, Jennifer Lee Swinson.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his children, Nikki Farrenkopf, Kristen Lynn, Cody James Swinson and Caitlin Blair; his fiancee, Doreen Bray; his brother, Roy Alan Swinson; and uncles, Owen I. Swinson, Richard S. Swinson, William Swinson, George Swinson and Charles Saunders.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
