WANCHESE, N.C.—Ashley Olivia Britt and Dale Hundley Bryant were married June 23 at Mallard’s Marsh in Wanchese, N.C.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Jane and Richard Britt, of Franklin. She was escorted by her father.

The groom is the son of Debbie and Doug Bryant of Franklin.

Carson Reeves of Suffolk, sister of the bride, served as the maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Sydney Harrell of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Stacy Lowe of Zuni and Kristine Pearce of Franklin, all friends of the bride, as well as Sarah and Mary Burgess, cousins of the groom.

Doug Bryant, father of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen included Rusty Dunlow of Windsor, cousin of the groom, and Sean Potts

of Sachse, Texas, friend of the groom. Henry Reeves, nephew of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

A memorial candle was lit for the late Matthew Daniel Bryant, brother of the groom.

The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Shannon Joyner. Musicians were Billy Wayne Burgess, uncle of the groom, and Blaine Britt, cousin of the bride. Beautiful beach-inspired decorating was done by aunts of the groom, Lynn Burgess and June Dunlow.

A reception, catered by Good Life Gourmet, followed at Mallard’s Marsh and was DJ’d by Wayne Cook.

Following a honeymoon at the Outer Banks, the bride and groom currently reside in Franklin.

Carson Reeves, sister of the bride, gave a bridal shower at Joe’s Pizza and Pasta Palace. Lynn Burgess and June Dunlow, aunts of the groom, gave the bride a lovely tea party. The bride was also given a bridal shower by her colleagues in the first grade department at S.P. Morton Elementary School.

The couple was given a cocktail party thrown by Greg and Naomi Koontz, Larry and Nancy Parrish, Chuck and Mary Lilley, Kelly Makoske and Kathy Gavin, all friends of the parents of the groom.

Debbie and Doug Bryant, parents of the groom, hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Beach Bread Company in Kitty Hawk, N.C. Jane Britt, mother of the bride, hosted a bridal luncheon at RV’s Sugar Creek in Nags Head, N.C.
