Alice Turner

SUFFOLK—Alice Turner, 98, of the 1200 block of Truman Road, died Sept. 10, 2007, at Tandem Health Care of Windsor.

A native of Courtland, she was the widow of Roosevelt Turner and daughter of the late David and Susie Stith Washington. She was a retired caregiver.

Mrs. Turner was a member of Lakeview Missionary Baptist Church where she served faithfully and was treasurer of the Senior Usher Board for more than 20 years.

Survivors include four children, Ethel M. Hunt of Suffolk, James Turner (Edna) of Boston, Richard Turner of Suffolk and George Turner (Sallie) of Franklin and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great- great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral was to be held at noon Saturday at Lakeview Baptist Church by Elder Myers Hunt and Dr. John E. Jones, pastor.

Entombment was to follow in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be at 1201 Truman Road, Suffolk.
