NEWSOMS—Mr. and Mrs. R. Randolph Cooke of Newsoms are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Holly Kathleen Cooke, to Derrick Lafayette Ledbetter, son of Deborah Vick Ledbetter of Franklin and the late Donald Gene Ledbetter.

Cooke is the granddaughter of the late William A. and Lina J. Cooke of Boykins and the late Edward “Bonnie” Lassiter and Kathleen Lassiter Bryant of Newsoms. She is a 1999 graduate of Rock Church School and a 2004 graduate of Liberty University.

Ledbetter is the grandson of Virginia J. Vick of Franklin and the late L.C. Vick. He is the grandson of the late Timothy and Jessie Ledbetter of Sacramento, Calif. He is a 1997 graduate of Franklin High School.

They were engaged on Aug. 1 and their wedding will be held June 28 at Rock Church in Franklin.
