Louise R. McDonald

WALTERS—Louise Rose McDonald, 91, widow of John Birt McDonald, died Sept. 5, 2007.
A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of the late Richard Ralph and Omato Ruth Johnson Rose.
Mrs. McDonald was a retired paper inspector with Union Camp Corporation.
She was an active member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church, the Missionary Society, Golden Age Club, and treasurer of the church cemetery perpetual care fund.
Survivors include a sister, Alma R. Richardson of Jacksonville, Fl; a brother, LeRoy Rose of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews; and three step-grandchildren. Mrs. McDonald was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas Willard Rose, Richard R. Rose, Jr., and John Leonard Rose.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Revs. Jay Gunn and the Tony Rivers officiating.
Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund, 27650 Walters Hwy, Carrsville, Va. 23315. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
