NORFOLK—Stacy Lee Buck Sr., died Sept. 3, 2007.
Mr. Buck was born June 26, 1920, a native of Cookeville, Tenn., and was the son of the late Mary Walker and John H. Buck.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stacy Lee Buck Jr.; and his sister, Ruth B. Ramsey. He proudly served his country during World War II with the Navy in the Pacific Theater. He retired in 1979 after 37 1/2 years as the general foreman, Public Works Center at the Norfolk Naval Base.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Emma Futrell Buck; his daughters, Cynthia M. Buck-Thompson and husband Donald W. Thompson of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Elizabeth Karen Buck-Griffin and husband David A. Griffin of Carrsville; grandchildren, Jonathan H. Buck (Taros), Daniel A. Thompson and Kelly M. Griffin; a sister, Ruby B. Rogers of Norfolk; a brother-in-law, Albert P. Ramsey of Cookeville, Tenn.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Thursday in Azalea Baptist Church by the Rev. John Moxley. Burial followed in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Hollomon -Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.
