Carlton Cutchins

FRANKLIN—Carlton Cutchins, of 4214 Dukes Lane, died Aug. 6, 2007.

Mr. Cutchins was born Aug. 15, 1934 in Southampton County, a son of the late Joe Cutchins Sr. and Virgie Coggsdale Cutchins.

He was a former 15-year employee of Franklin Equipment and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

He was predeceased by three brothers, Ocie Lee Cutchins, J.C. Cutchin, Jr. and Roger Cutchins; a half-sister, Blanche Holloman, and a half-brother, Jack Cutchins.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Flora Turner Cutchins; his daughter and her husband, Pam and Bruce Holland Jr.; his son, Carlton Wayne Cutchins and wife, Lori; five grandchildren, Carrie, Wendy, and Chad Cutchins and Adam and Allen Holland; three sisters, Bernice Rogers, Faye Porter and husband, Kenny, Ernestine Wade; a half-sister, Thelma Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Bunn officiating.

Burial will follow in Poplar Spring Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Isle of Wight Academy, Air Conditioning Fund, P. O. Box 105, Isle of Wight, Va. 23397.
