Police seek man in vicious knife attack

FRANKLIN—Franklin police are looking for help locating a man they say brutally stabbed a Bruce Street resident Wednesday morning.
Lt. T.W. Whitt said police are looking for 32-year-old Julius Irvin Stephens of 316 Pearl St. in Franklin following a knife attack at about 1:20 a.m.
The victim received multiple stab wounds in the head, neck and back and was flown by helicopter to Sentara Norfolk General for treatment.
Stephens faces charges of aggravated malicious wounding, entering a dwelling with the intent to commit murder and shooting or stabbing someone in the commission of a felony.

Information that leads to an arrest could earn the caller a cash reward of up to $1,000, and the caller’s identity will remain anonymous.
