To the Editor:

The family of Lon Bickham is constantly amazed at the continued support, care and prayers for Lon’s recovery from the explosion on April 7 (“Explosion at logging site injures four,” April 9).

Though it has been nearly six months, the support of visits, cards and offers has never ceased. We wish we could thank every individual for every deed; it would be impossible due to the overwhelming numbers of supporters.

We appreciate the support for the fundraiser that GirlsNPearls from Suffolk held on Sept. 17. Despite the rain, friends and family rallied for Lon.

Please know you are all in our thoughts as you travel this journey with us. Lon’s will and fight to survive have been due to everyone who supports him and loves him. He never wanted to disappoint anyone.
