Bruce W. Myane

SUFFOLK—Bruce Wayne Myane, 58, died July 14, 2007.

The son of the late E.B. “Chester” Myane, he retired after 32 years as a service technician with Verizon. He was a lifetime member of the Nansemond Suffolk Rescue Squad, past president and member of the Suffolk Ruritan Club, the 2005 chairman of the Peanut Fest and member of the Suffolk Peanut Festival Executive Committee, member of the Zuni, Somerton and Gates hunt clubs and the National Wildlife Turkey Federation.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Judy Baker Myane of Suffolk; daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Kristy M. and Bobby Daniels, Bryce Daniels of Suffolk; mother, Inez Babb Myane of Suffolk; brother, sister-in-law and nieces, Roy and Debbie Myane, Leslie and Stephanie Myane of Zuni; sister-in-law, Lorie Baker of Suffolk; brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece and nephew, Earl and Cindy Baker, Heather and Ryan Baker of Layton, Utah; and hunting pal and best friend, Coleman Boyce.

A memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. in Bethlehem Christian Church with the Rev. Billy Presley officiating. Friends may join the family in Parr Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
