Two arrested for cocaine found at motel

FRANKLIN—Police on Friday arrested two Franklin residents after finding a substantial quantity of suspected crack cocaine at a motel in the 1600 block of Amory Drive.

Arrested were James Waverly Turner Jr., 57, of the 1660 Armory Drive, Room 214, and Necole Yvette Wooten, 39, of 110 Morton St., Apt. H, police said.

Police learned about the alleged drug activity at the motel and got a search warrant. In addition to the drugs, police found paraphernalia consistent in the distribution of narcotics.

Turner and Wooten were charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and taken to Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
