COURTLAND_-The marriage of Sara Elizabeth Radford of Chester, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Radford of Chester, to Bill Taylor Flowers Jr. of Courtland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill T. Flowers of Courtland, took place Saturday, Feb. 23, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Petersburg.
The Rev. Dr. Gerald Miller officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Michael Melnyk of Chester and the late Michael Melnyk, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James T. Radford of Petersburg.
The groom is the grandson of Bernice Vick Edwards of Courtland, and the late Bennett Lee Edwards Jr. and Mary Taylor Flowers of Franklin, and the late Jerry Bruce Flowers Jr.
Amy Kirkland, cousin of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristine Lynch, Margie Morgan, Erin Southall and Whitney Steele. Megan Petit, cousin of the bride, and Hannah Sanderson, cousin of the groom, were flower girls.
Father of the groom, Mr. Flowers, and brother of the groom, Bennett Flowers, served as best men.
Groomsmen were Wes Flowers, Sam Oakley, Brian Radford and Benjamin Railey. Jacob Petit, cousin of the bride, was the ring bearer.
Mrs. Jim Debutts was the mistress of ceremonies.
Madeline Pittenger, cousin of the groom, and Mr. and Mrs. John Kirkland, uncle and aunt of the bride, were readers.
Greeters were Elyse Edwards and Jonathan Kirkland.
The rehearsal dinner was held at The Country Club of Petersburg.
The reception was held at The Lee Club at Fort Lee.
After a honeymoon to The Homestead, the couple will reside in Chesterfield.
