SUFFOLK—Hope Cecil Brock, 80, of Sleepy Lake Parkway, died March 31, 2007, in her home.

Mrs. Brock, a native of Randolph County, N.C., was retired from Portsmouth General Hospital as a registered nurse after 28 years of service, much of that time working in its emergency room.

She was a member of West Park Church of Christ, Portsmouth.

Survivors in include her husband of 57 years, Hills Dewitte Brock Jr.; three children, Carol Jo Brock-Donker and husband Alan of Suffolk, Jerry Dewitte Brock and wife Judy of Newport News, Patricia B. Crumpler and husband Bobby of Ivor; two grandchildren, Michael and Gin Brock; and two great- grandchildren, Franklin and Tami.

A funeral was held Tuesday in Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett’s Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial followed in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Nansemond- Suffolk Rescue Squad, 428 Market St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
