Eunice J. Jarratt

Capron – Eunice J. Jarratt, 75 died August 7, 2010 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. She was born January 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Roy and Adele Gurganus Jarratt and was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, William G. Jarratt Sr. and a son Tony Wayne Jarratt. Eunice was a lifetime member of Capron Baptist Church, a resident of East Pavilion, and loved her family and friends. Eunice was a strong Christian woman and dedicated her life to the Lord and her ministry at East Pavilion.

Survivors include her son, William G. “Bill” Jarratt Jr. and wife, Tammy of Capron, daughter-in-law Jo Jarratt of Emporia; grandchildren, William G. Jarratt III and wife Amanda of Roanoke Rapids NC, Casey S. Jarratt of Silver Springs MD, and Sarah E. Jarratt of Emporia; great-grandchildren Chloe E. Jarratt, Areil and T.J. Mason; sisters, Marie (Blake) Green, Becky (Dennis) Newsome, Louise (Nelson) Wells; and brothers, Leroy (Loretta) Jarratt, and Buddy Jarratt.

The funeral will be conducted at 10 am Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Capron Baptist Church with the Rev. Chad Brady officiating. Interment will follow in Capron Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday August 9, 2010 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Wright Funeral Home in Franklin.
