J. Richard Forehand
J. Richard Forehand, 57, of Carrsville passed away June 15, 2010.
Richard was born in Edenton, N.C., to the late Ruth Perry Forehand and Melvin Spurgeon Forehand.
Richard was a mechanical engineer and a self-employed heating and air conditioning technician.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Ella Mae Nixon Perry, whom he was very close to.
Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley S. Forehand; sons, Chris D. Bass, Michael R. Gomer and John M. Williams; five grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Thomas Bunch and Melva and Hugh West; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. today, June 18, at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery with Chaplain Dick Dinges officiating.
Call hours were Thursday night at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory in Suffolk and other times at the residence.
