Susie Sharpe
FRANKLIN—Ms. Susie Sharpe of Hogart Street, Franklin, passed December 6, 2009 in Courtland.
Susie was born April 13, 1940 in Southampton County, to Cora Jones Sharpe and the late Thomas Sharpe.
She was a member of White Oak Spring Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother Cora Sharpe, uncles, Willie “Jake” Jones, Joe Frederick “Boot” Jones, her devoted caregiver, Selena Darden and many cousins.
On Thursday, December 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m., a life’s celebration will be held at White Oak Spring Baptist Church, 26125 Delaware Road, Franklin, with the Pastor, Reverend Eddie Lee, Jr., delivering the eulogy. The committal and benediction will be in Southampton Memorial Park immediately following the service.
On the day of service, her remains will be placed in church for viewing by 11:00 a.m.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 224 South Main St., Franklin, VA.
