James L. Griggs Sr.
WINDSOR—James “J.L.” Lemuel Griggs Sr., 70, died Nov. 29, 2009, at home.
Mr. Griggs was a building contractor.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Bobbie Holland Griggs; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa G. Gray (Tommy) of Windsor, Jo Anne Wolford (Sammy) of Corapeake, N.C. and sons, James Lemuel Griggs, Jr. of Sedley, Alan W. Griggs of Windsor; three grandchildren, Joanne, Samuel, and Allison; a sister, Jean G. Leggett of Suffolk; and a brother, Edward Griggs of Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at Nansemond Suffolk Cemetery at 11 a.m. today with the Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating.
