Mary B. Darden
FRANKLIN—Mary Bell Darden, affectionately known as “Grandma Darden,” 97, of Franklin and Southampton County, died Nov. 16, 2009.
She was predeceased by her parents, siblings, husband, and three children.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Helen Cole and Olivia Ann Benn of Franklin; 35 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at New Hope Baptist Church, Franklin, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow at Care Memorial Gardens in Courtland.
Family and friends will assemble at 339 Bruce Street, Franklin, one hour prior to service for procession to the church.
