Floyd Elliotte Wilkins, Sr., 72, passed away October 26, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. Born is Southampton Co., VA, he was the son of the late Lafayette T. and Gurney Wilkins, Sr. He was predeceased by his daughter, Melinda Kaye Wilkins.

Floyd was a machine operator with Union Camp and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church. He was a member of the Joyce Ann Harrell Sunday School Class and the Men’s Fellowship.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Glover Wilkins; son, Floyd E. Wilkins, Jr. of Suffolk; daughter, Susan Wilkins-Piland of Suffolk; grandchildren, Lauren Ashley, Elliotte Elizabeth, and Thomas Blake Wilkins, and Barrett Elliotte and Reagan Elisabeth Piland; brothers, Lafayette T. Wilkins and wife, Martha, and Robert M. Wilkins.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Bethlehem Christian Church by the Rev. Reginald Warren and Rev. Wayne Gardner with burial at Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
