Vera L. Dakin
ZUNI—Vera Lee Dakin, 93, widow of Maurice Conley Dakin, died Nov. 6, 2009, at Consulate Healthcare in Windsor.
Mrs. Dakin was born in Grundy and was a former resident of Bluefield.
She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and a member of OES, Chapter 102, Bluefield.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara D. Webster (David); one granddaughter, Melinda Paschal (Tim); two great-granddaughters, Shana and Lyndsey Paschal; and her adopted family, the Anello’s of Windsor, especially her “pizza man,” Joe Anello.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Dakin.
Memorial services will be private.
