FRANKLIN—Devin Reneé Knight Blow died Oct. 5, 2009, in her home.
The Suffolk native was born on Nov. 18, 1979, to Vernon C. Knight Sr. and Hazel N. Herndon Knight.
At an early age, she became a member of St. Mark AME Zion Church where she was a former member of the gospel choir.
Mrs. Blow attended the Suffolk Public School System graduating from Lakeland High School in 1998.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Larry D. Blow Sr; one daughter, Kaylen R. Blow; one son, Larry D. Blow Jr.; her dedicated father and mother, Vernon C. and Hazel N. Knight; five sisters, Edith Wilson, Cassie Knight, Patricia Ashe, Annette Stallings and Sarah Ashe, all of Suffolk; two brothers, Vernon Knight Jr. and Andrew Ashe, both of Suffolk; maternal grandfather, James E. Herndon Sr.; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; her mother-in-law, Cynthia Blow Spain (Michael); a special uncle, Sidney “Meat” Blow; cousins, other relatives and extended family.
A service of love and transition will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark AME Zion Church, 817 McKinley Avenue, Suffolk, where the pastor, the Rev.Wilmers Williams will deliver the eulogy.
Burial is in Southview Cemetery.
On the day of service, her remains will be placed in church by 11 a.m.
Friday evening the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. in the chapel of Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., Franklin.
