Randy P. Cobb
BRANCHVILLE—Randy Paige Cobb, 52, a wonderful and loving husband, father and friend, died peacefully at Southampton Memorial Hospital on Sept. 30, 2009.
Born in Franklin, he was the son of the late C.D. and Thelma Cobb and his career and his passion was farming.
He loved to hunt, fish, and enjoyed the outdoors. He also loved cooking for his family and friends and watching Virginia Tech football. He was a member of Persons United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Elizabeth Milteer Cobb; daughter, Paige Cobb: son, Camden Cobb and wife Amber; sister, Robin C. Meyer of Richmond; nieces and nephews, Bruce, Jane and Ellen Meyer, Brittany Gurganus, Brendan Milteer, Mecalah Bryant and Jazmine Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with the Rev. Michael Baugham officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made in Randy’s name to the Children’s Center, 700 Campbell St., Franklin, VA 23851.
