To the Editor:

I have known Dr. Alan Edwards since he joined our practice of internal medicine in the mid-1970s.

Outside of his immediate family, I feel I know him as well as anyone. He is a hard-working and highly motivated man who is dedicated to his patients and to the people of Southampton County.

He has served with distinction for many years as chairman of the Southampton County Planning Commission. Alan has deeply thought out conservative views of the many issues facing Southampton County and is very articulate in expressing his ideas.

I know he would make an excellent representative of the citizens of the Jerusalem District on the Board of Supervisors.
