Herman Gatling
MURFREESBORO, N.C.—Herman Gatling, 87, died Sept. 26, 2009, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
He was a native of Currituck.
Survivors include his wife, Elsie Gatling of Murfreesboro; a son, Marvin Gatling of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at New Beginnings Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. Shirley Johnson officiating.
Burial will take place in Carvers Park Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, N.C., is handling the arrangements.
