COURTLAND—Sally Sparks Cameron, 71, retired educator and widow of the Rev. Lawrence Stewart Cameron, died Sept. 19, 2009, at her residence.
She was born in Brewster, Wash., the daughter of the late Dorothy Hyde and Leonard Sparks.
Mrs. Cameron received her bachelor’s degree from Washington State University and her Masters in Education from Loyola University in Maryland.
She taught high school English in Harrisburg, Pa., Special Education in Baltimore County, Md., and was assistant principal at Parkville Middle School in Maryland.
She was a member of Grace English Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lutherville, Md. and Grace Lutheran Church in Courtland.
Survivors include her daughter, N. Dianne C. Vick and husband Joseph of Courtland; her son, J. Andrew Cameron and wife Karen Cameron, of Parkville, Md.; two grandchildren, Sally and Marena Vick; and one brother, Terry Sparks and wife Ann of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
A memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Dennis Buchholtz officiating.
