BOYKINS—Thelma Morgan “Bootsie” Francis, 69, died Sept. 4, 2009, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
She was a native of Crewe, and was a daughter of the late Nubel and Lucille Morgan.
Mrs. Francis was retired from Southampton Correctional Center.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Berkley M. Francis; her son, Brian M. Francis and wife Heather; and her beloved grandson, Tyler M. Francis.
The funeral was held Monday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home in Franklin, by the Rev. Chad Brady.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
