WINDSOR-Donald R. Bland, 72, of Windsor died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in Norfolk.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Bland was retired from the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Postal Service.

Among his survivors are four brothers, Allen Tillson Bland and Robert Ivan Bland, both of Courtland, Charles William Bland of Windsor, and James Edward Bland of Sedley.
