FRANKLIN—Dora Duffy Duck, 86, widow of Roy Carpenter Duck, died July 3, 2009, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Isle of Wight County, a daughter of the late Walter Hargett and Dora Bobbitt Duffy.
Mrs. Duck was also predeceased by a sister, Louise Duffy, and three brothers, William, Walter, and George Duffy.
She was the former owner of D&D Auto Supply and a member of High Street United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one sister, Margaret Houle of Carrsville; one brother, Kenneth Duffy of Franklin; five nieces, Sandy Bradshaw and husband Keith of Carrsville, Theresa Beale and husband Robert of Windsor, Judy Andrews of Petersburg, Katherine Duffy of Roanoke and Francine Russell of Pensacola, Fla.; two nephews, Bill H. Duffy of Franklin, Michael E. Duffy of Virginia Beach; and two special great-nieces, Meagan Bradshaw and Courtney Roggmann and one special great-nephew, Cody Bradshaw.
A graveside service was conducted Tuesday at Poplar Spring Cemetery with the Rev. Susan Reaves officiating.
