SUFFOLK—Milton “Buck” Nathan Goolsby, 67, died May 14, 2009, in Riverside Convalescent Center, Smithfield.
He was born in Bayboro, N.C. He was a resident of Suffolk most of his life. Buck was a laborer in the farming community in the Cherry Grove and Isle of Wight County areas.
Mr. Goolsby enjoyed hunting and fishing and the great outdoors. He was of the Baptist faith.
Preceded in death by his father, Toy Nathan Goolsby, he leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Isabelle Wahab Goolsby; his brother, Kenneth and wife Kay “Bug” Richardson; and a host of other relatives and extended family.
The family expresses special thanks to Debbie Boyd and Betty Butler of the Riverside Convalescent Center for their devotion, care and concern they showed to Buck in his illness.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Uzzell United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Russell O. Leonard officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements were in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
