Lynwood Boone
NORFOLK—Lynwood “Sonny” Boone, 80, died May 11, 2009.
A native of New York City, he retired as a police officer after 25 years.
Mr. Boone was a member of Bryant Baptist Church in Courtland.
He was predeceased by his parents, Johnnie Boone and Elizabeth Darden.
Survivors include one daughter, Wanda; two sons, Wayne and Seneca; two sisters, Evelyn King of Frederick, Md. and Lillian Hoggard of Virginia Beach; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends for remembrance and visitation Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. in Beach Funeral Services Inc., 4456 Bonney Road, Virginia Beach.
