Bertha T. Taylor
AHOSKIE, N.C.—Bertha Tyler Taylor, 60, died May 1, 2009, at her home.
A native of Bertie County, N.C., she worked as a supervisor at Perdue Inc. and was a member of Piney Woods Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her mother, Bertha Ruth Tyler of Lewiston, N.C.; one son, Glenwood Taylor Jr. of Ahoskie; three daughters, Valorie Cherry of Roxobel, N.C., Orleen Taylor of Portsmouth and Alisha Taylor of Ahoskie; two brothers, Pinnmon Tyler Jr. of Lewiston and Terry Tyler of Lewiston; two sisters, Essie Tyler of Ahoskie and Patricia Eaton of Murfreesboro, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piney Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Ahoskie with Bishop Joseph C. Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at the Taylor Family Cemetery in Ahoskie.
