Julia E. Buck
NORFOLK—Julia Erma Estelle Buck died April 26, 2009, in a hospital in Philadelphia.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence H. Buck Sr. and Julia Erma Estelle Buck.
A native of Courtland, she had lived in Norfolk for most of her life.
She was a 1943 Hampton Institute graduate, and in 1977 she retired from the Pinecrest Learning Center.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street.
Survivors include a sister, Catherine B. Mason of Dallas and several nieces and nephews.
Homegoing services will be held Saturday in First Baptist Church, Bute Street. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until noon, with the service beginning at noon.
Burial will be in the family plot in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
