Donna L. Sharp
WINDSOR—Donna Kay Loper Sharp, 55, died unexpectedly April 20, 2009, in Sentara Obici Hospital.
Born in Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Donald Jake and Ruth Quinn Loper.
She had lived in Boydton and Chesapeake, before moving to Windsor some 12 years ago.
She was a homemaker, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald Everett Sharp; grandson, Donald Everett Sharp Jr.; one brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Gary Everett Sharp Sr.; her son, Ronald Lee Sharp of Windsor; grandchildren, Ronald, Donald, Destiny, Gary, Randy, Tyler and Ryan; a great-grandchild, Rylan Cardell; her siblings, Martha “Tyke” Lambert, Amanda Barker Shockley and James M. Thorton, all of Chesapeake; her father and mother-in-law, Paul E. and Virginia Lee Sharp, also of Chesapeake.
A private graveside service will be conducted in St. Luke’s Memorial Park, Smithfield.
Cremation arrangements are under the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
