Hollis W. Bailey
HAMPTON—Hollis Wayne Bailey, 68, died April 11, 2009.
He was born in Franklin and had been a Hampton resident.
Mr. Bailey was active at Grafton Baptist Church in Yorktown.
After a 22-year career in the U.S. Air Force, he retired at the rank of Master Sergeant.
He had a passion for the automobile, and after his service to his country, it led him to a career in automotive sales as a manager and to become a member of a local motorsports team. Other hobbies included collecting clocks and time pieces.
Preceding him in rest are his parents of Rocky Mount, Herbert H. and Dorothy Bailey.
Survivors include his wife, Hwi Ja Bailey; son and two daughters of Texas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers; and sister of Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 10 at Arlington National Cemetery.
He will be intensely missed by all who knew and loved him.
Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, Hampton.
