SUFFOLK—Jennie Lee Wilkins, 80, died March 24, 2009.
A native of Nansemond County, she was the daughter of the late James Leslie Adams and Elizabeth Howell Adams.
She was also predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Norman Earl Wilkins Sr.
She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, the Ruth Sunday School Class, the Happy Active Christian Senior Group (H.A.C.), and the Thursday Afternoon Group (T.A.G.).
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Paul Stevens of Hilton Head, S.C., Kay and Johnny Holland of Suffolk, Connie L. and Gordon Bradshaw of Franklin; son and daughter-in-law, Norman Wilkins Jr. and Linda of Suffolk; grandchildren, Kevin Stevens, Brian Stevens, Jennifer Worrell, John Holland, Kayla Holland, Nicole Bradshaw, Darryl Bradshaw and Brittany Wilkins; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Tomlin of Suffolk; and a brother C.C. Adams of Gasburg.
A funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. in Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with the Rev. Jim George officiating.
Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, Suffolk Chapter, 604 West Constance Woods Drive, Suffolk, VA 23434.
