PDCCC offers summer courses on campus, online

You can make this summer count at Paul D. Camp Community College.

Our summer schedule includes transfer courses for students enrolled in four-year colleges and universities, classes for students working toward a two-year degree or certificate at PDCCC and options for personal enrichment or getting ahead in the workforce.

The following are a few examples available offerings:

Franklin Campus

Ethics and Criminal Justice will be taught Tuesdays from 6 to 10:05 pm. Composition I will be offered Tuesdays from 6 to 10:05 am. General Biology I will meet May 17 through June 18 from 6 to 10:05 pm with lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays and lab on Tuesdays and Thursdays. General Biology II will meet June 23 through July 28 with the same time frame, which allows students to complete the two, four-credit classes in 10 weeks.

U.S. History I will be offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. U.S. History II will be offered with the same time-frame, allowing students to complete the two, three-credit classes in 10 weeks. Statistics will be taught Mondays and Wednesdays from 7 to 9 p.m. Introduction to Psychology I will be taught Tuesdays from 6 to 10:05 pm.

Hobbs Suffolk Campus

Human Anatomy and Physiology I is offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. for lectures and Mondays from 1 to 3:50 p.m. for lab, or Tuesdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m. for lectures and Thursdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m. for lab. English Composition II will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Introduction to Sociology I will be taught Thursdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m.

Paul D. Camp Center at Smithfield

General Biology I will be taught Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. for lectures and Wednesdays from 1 to 3:50 p.m. for lab. Human Anatomy and Physiology will be offered Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. for lectures and Wednesdays from 1 to 3:50 p.m. for lab, or Tuesdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m. for lecture and Thursdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m. for lab. Principles of Macroeconomics will be offered Wednesdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m.; U.S. History will be taught on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. U.S.History II will be offered Thursdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m. Introduction to Computer Applications and Concepts will be offered Wednesdays from 7 to 9:50 p.m., Fridays 12:30 to 3:20 p.m. or Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Online Offerings

Summer semester online options include General Biology I, Introductory Microbiology, Communication in Management, Business Law, Introduction to International Business, English Composition II, Principles of Macroeconomics, Introduction to Cultural Geography, U.S. History I, Advanced Computer Application and Integration, Principles of Marketing, Music Appreciation I, Meteorology, Practical Reasoning, Introduction to Psychology I, Survey of the New Testament, Introduction to Sociology I, Beginning Spanish I-II and more.

Regional Workforce Development Center

Summer offerings at the Workforce Center include credit courses in Air Conditioning and Motorcycle Rider Safety and noncredit classes, such as Basic Contract Business Licensing, Electricians Tradesman Renewal and Computers for Absolute Beginners.
