Barbara G. Langston
FRANKLIN—Barbara Gail Whitehead Langston of Hall Street, died Feb. 24, 2009, while a patient in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
On June 11, 1953, she was born in Franklin, to the late Andrew Whitehead and Virginia Everette Stovall.
She graduated from Franklin High School in 1971.
Survivors include one daughter, Latrice Morris (Travis); one son, Steven Langston (Cassandra); one brother, Andrew Hodges Whitehead (Patricia), all of Franklin; three grandchildren; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
A service celebrating her life’s journey was to be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church, 318 Hall Street, Franklin, with the Rev. Jeremiah Cole delivering the eulogy.
The interment will be in Southview Cemetery immediately following the service.
On the day of service, her remains were placed in the church for viewing at 11 a.m.
Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
