SUFFOLK—Timothy Marchant Rogers, 56, of the 500 block of Collins Road, died Feb. 9, 2009, in Southampton Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Rogers was born in Portsmouth, and was the son of the late Wilbur E. and Marguerite Mann Rogers.
The owner and operator of Tim Rogers Aluminum Contractors, he was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Minh Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Pully Rogers; his children, Jeffrey Rogers and wife Mandy of Windsor, Robert Denny Sr. of Grey, Ga., Pam Denny and Stacy Hardaway, both of Chester; a sister, Priscilla Shellito and husband Robert of Suffolk; a brother, James Baker of Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren, Allyssa, Linda, and Ethan Rogers, Amanda, Robert Jr. and Brian Denny, Christal Sawyer, and Rebecca, Sonny and Casey Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Albert G. Horton Jr. Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, by the Rev. Allen Lancaster. Military rites will be accorded.
Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, N.C. is handling arrangements.
