Clarence Flythe
AULANDER, N.C.—Clarence Flythe, 78, died Jan. 11, 2009, at his residence.
A native of Newsoms, he was a member of Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from Georgia Pacific as a fork lift driver.
Survivors include a son, Gregory Flythe of Aulander; a daughter, Shirley Daniels of Greenville, N.C.; a brother, James Manley Flythe of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Ethel Sykes of Elizabeth City, N.C., Alvenia LeBoeuf of Virginia Beach and Sherdine Handshaw of Franklin; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elm Grove Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Anthony Ward.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling arrangements.
