Donald S. Jacobs
WARRENTON, N.C.—Donald Sylvester “Mick” Jacobs, 68, of Warrens Hill Nursing Home, formerly of Rich Square, N.C., died Dec. 28, 2008, at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, N.C.
Mr. Jacbos was a native of Northampton County.
Survivors include three sons, Donava Jacobs of Murfreesboro, N.C., Donald S. Green of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. and Ronald Jacobs of Durham, N.C.; two sisters, Annie Jane Debrow and Irish Edwards, both of Rich Square; one brother, Eddie Lewis Jacobs Jr. of Rich Square; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Wilder’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rich Square. The Rev. Jerome Shoulars officiated.
Wilder’s Funeral Home, Rich Square, handled the arrangements.
Margaret Lassiter
RICH SQUARE, N.C.—Margaret Lassiter, 82, of Meadow Drive, died Dec. 27, 2008, at her residence.
A native of Northampton County, she was a member and usher at Nebo Baptist Church and member of Menola Missionary Board.
She was a retired cook at Patio Restaurant in Rich Square.
Survivors include four sons, Earl Lassiter of Severn, N.C., Willie C. Lassiter of Gibsonville, N.C., Lee Lassiter of Woodland, N.C. and Rufus Lassiter of Hyattsville, Md.; eight daughters, Ernestine Woodard of Murfreesboro, N.C., Shirley Taylor of Rich Square, Gwendolyn Edwards of Garysburg, Rosa Lassiter of Murfreesboro, Doris Wilder of Rich Square, Mona Lisa Lassiter of Georgia, Latonya Gatling of Aulander, N.C. and Everlene Stevenson of Woodland; three sisters, Emma Clark and Essie Vaughan, both of Murfreesboro, and Marie Sharpe of Woodland; two brothers, James Lassiter of Pendleton, N.C. and John Lassiter of Conway, N.C.; 39 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Jan. 2 at Nebo Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. James K. Brown officiating. Burial was in the Lassiter Family Cemetery, Murfreesboro.
