Debbie Bird
ANDERSON, Ind.—Debbie Bird, 52, formerly of Murfreesboro, N.C., died Dec. 16, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in Indiana.
She was born May 9, 1956 in Woodland, N.C.
She was in the first graduating class at Ridgecroft School and was class Valedictorian.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eyssel Dickerson.
She was employed by St. John’s Hospital, as a home health physical therapist.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Tom Bird of Anderson, Ind.; a daughter, Elizabeth Bird Ross and her husband, Adam, of Florence, S.C.; a son, Joey Bird of Indianapolis, Ind.; a grandson, Connor Ross of Florence, S.C.; and her father, Joe Dickerson of Murfreesboro.
She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church and was a wonderful daughter, wife, mom and grandmama.
A Celebration of Life service was held Monday at Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Riverside Cemetery. The Revs. Lee Canipe and Tom Caulkins will officiated.
