Josephine K. Holmes
HAMPTON—Josephine K. Holmes, widow of James Edward Holmes died Dec. 7, 2008.
Mrs. Holmes was a resident of Hampton for more than 60 years and was employed as a school teacher at the former Union Elementary School.
She will be remembered as being small in stature, but large in heart.
In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by a son, James E. Holmes.
Survivors include her son, Edward Holmes of Hampton; and two grandchildren, Alicia and Daniel Holmes, both of Gilbert, Ariz.
Viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Dec. 17 at Nickelson-Cummings Funeral Home and the family will be receiving friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 18 at Southview Cemetery in Franklin.
